Looking for farm help!! β€οΈ
Earlier this year, I broke my big toe. It wasnβt out of alignment, so the plan was to let it heal on its own. But then β while doing sanctuary chores β I dropped a kid pool-sized block of ice on it and broke it again.
That second break required surgery and two pins. It was healing... until I broke both pins because I had to keep doing farm work β often strenuous, daily, physical work. If I didnβt do it, it wouldnβt get done. The animals depend on me.
This week, I had a second surgery. The broken pins were removed and replaced with the largest screw available for a big toe. Iβm now supposed to be zero weight bearing β but thatβs nearly impossible out here.Have I followed those orders? Not fully. I can't.
A couple of wonderful volunteers have been helping when they can, and Iβm so grateful. But they canβt always be here β and this work takes a village - all day, every day.
If this surgery doesnβt hold, the only remaining option is removing part of my toe. π
π Right now, we urgently need help with:
Moving mulch into the chicken building and onto muddy areas
Feeding and watering animals
General cleaning and daily chores
Iβm not usually talking about personal stuff or my injuries β but Iβm asking for the animals. They still need care, and I canβt do this alone, at least not on one foot. π

We know we're out on gravel roads β not ideal for everyone β but if you can make it out, weβd be so thankful.
Flexible shifts β mornings especially helpful
No experience needed β just bring your heart and work boots
We also love group work days - which would be absolutely amazing right now.
