B&B Theaters has brought back going to the movies as a night for dressing up, enjoying a cute drink, and turning a film premiere into an actual experience.

KCFW screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 felt less like a movie night and more like a fashion event. Going to the cinema was once an event, a special occasion to look forward to, and this brought that feeling back in a big way.

The Devil Wears Prada was one of the first films that made me fall in love with fashion as storytelling. The styling, the ambition, the world building, the idea that clothes could communicate power, identity, artistry… I don’t think Little Me realized it then, but it absolutely shaped the trajectory of how I see fashion now.

Full circle moment sitting in a theater dressed up for the sequel years later with my fashion community. Thanks to for making this night so special 🖤

KCFW NIGHT FOUR FIT

A quieter kind of power.

Not the expected final-night look. I usually end fashion week in a dress something a little more formal, a little more elevated for the final night. But this season, I felt the need to go a different direction.
I was deeply inspired by the Ralph Lauren S/S ‘26 runway, those layered browns, the richness of texture, the ease of it all. Leather, drape, soft structure, subtle pattern play, it felt luxurious without trying too hard just effortlessly elegant.

This look started with the shoes. The Jeffrey Campbell “Sorcerer” heels the ornate, elongated point had me day dreaming for days. Everything built from there. Airy balloon pants with movement, paired with a matching blouse (you know i like a good set).

The jacket was a surprise. I wasn’t planning on it, but once I layered the scarf over it… it just clicked. So I got to work and hand stitched it in place and it turned it into something more permanent, more personal. A one-of-one moment.

Finished with layered chokers with pearls and a few oddly shaped beads, a charm necklace, gold accents. I love a collection of imperfections adding up to refinement.

Ending fashion week not with a statement but with a signature.

KCFW NIGHT THREE FIT

This one felt... full circle.
It was KCFW S/S ‘23 when I first saw Salacious Fruit on the runway. I remember sitting there, genuinely emotional, watching what felt like pure artistry unfold in real time.
Every detail from the fabric, designs, to the styling head to toe was intentional,
imaginative, and completely transportive. Like a glimpse into a world we shouldn’t get access to, the creative genius that is Alex Foxworth.

Ever since then, I’ve looked forward to seeing her name on the designer list.

So finding out I’d be dressed by her this year? I’m not even going to lie... there were tears. The honor of being trusted to wear something so intentional, so beautifully made meant everything.

And meeting only made it better. One of those rare moments where the person exceeds every expectation. We talked fashion, perspective, creativity... and it honestly gave me the push I needed to get inspired again. To keep believing, and to keep pushing forward everything we’re creating here in KC.

For night three, I wore this vibrant pink mini with the most stunning matching jacket kimono design. The color, the movement, the fabric.. it’s one of those pieces that doesn’t fully translate in photos. Lightweight, fluid, and designed with these effortless yet striking silhouettes that feel both elevated and wearable.

Styled it with a bold gold statement necklace, chunky boots, and a mini bag... and I’ve never felt cooler.

A look, a moment, and a reminder of why I fell in love with fashion in the first place.
It was never just about how it looks, but how it connects people, creates opportunity, and quietly brings you back to yourself right when you need it most.

KCFW NIGHT TWO FIT

I’ve been on the hunt for lightweight summer fabrics especially in suiting and I’ll be honest… linen and I have never been friends. The wrinkles? Immediate dealbreaker. But THIS blend?? I’m reconsidering everything.

This deep plum set feels structured but still effortless, and layering it over a soft, draped satin slip with lace detail gave it that perfect mix of tailored and romantic. The textures do all the talking; sharp blazer, fluid silk, delicate lace balanced in a way that feels elevated but not overdone.

And my favorite detail of all? This calla lily necklace. I was inspired by the Culgia version but couldn’t justify spending $300 on something so niche so I made my own. $20, some very realistic calla lilies, a little wiring and somehow it ended up being the most complimented piece of the night??

Finished it off with a classic pointed heel, chunky gold earrings and rings, and a vintage-inspired matching woven purse because the accessories give the outfit the very necessary push to be fashion week worthy.

A little bit polished, a little bit undone, exactly how I like it.
