Watching a child use a neon pink dinosaur or an adopted hero to explore their world is the heart of what we’re after. The Children's Place are doing insanely important work in helping children hold on to their childhood.

Imagine being able to make a story come to life, designing yourself as the character down to every last freckle then creating an adventure, overcoming obstacles and rising to challenges that previously seemed impossible. Thanks to our friends at Storytailor, the children we serve have had a chance to do exactly this.

We've partnered with this new company and begun using Storytailor in classrooms and therapy playrooms for children who would benefit from the chance to create a story. Whether they design a character who looks just like them or is a neon pink dinosaur, our teachers and therapists can use this tool to help little ones explore their own real-life stories. One child recently made several stories in a therapy session, changing around many details, but every single time the child checked that his character was "adopted," helping him to explore his own life story.
