Our latest film has finally arrived on YouTube. A grieving sister, a hopeful brother, and an unexpected guest turn this a funeral into a day of surprises. "Clown at a Funeral" was produced as part of the Independent Filmmaker's Coalition of Kansas City's Filmmaker Faceoff Challenge for 2024. Several directors were asked to make their version of the same script with full creative control. This is our interpretation.

We are so thrilled that "Cold Heart" is an official section for the Bird Watching Film Festival coming up on September 25th at The Bird Comedy Theater in Kansas City. We are humbled by the warm reception that this short 48-hour production is receiving.

This past weekend we entered the One Night Stand 10-Hour Film Competition with Independent Filmmakers Coalition. We snagged a Lead Performance award for our character Hammer Strike. We couldn't be more excited to share our SATO48 short film, "Cold Heart." The entire movie was made in 48 hours! Last weekend we won Best Set Design and were runner-up for Lead Performance and Poster Design. We were nominated and in the top 10 of almost every category. A huge thanks to our Team Up Down cast and crew for all of their hard work!

For many years I've wanted to formally embark on my journey. So, as I head into this weekend's SATO48 film challenge with my incredible team, I feel like the time is right to finally share that I've officially branded and formed my filmmaking company, Hoot Owl Films. This is an opportunity for me to share my creativity with others and to do so with purpose. Remember, don't ever give up on your childhood dreams. Whether you do what you love full time or as a hobby, like myself. Just do what makes you happy! And with that, we have a movie to make!! 🎥🎬
