I did a bit of fabric shopping over my birthday month and I plan to turn these lovely fabrics into the first module of my summer capsule wardrobe. You may remember the Cashmerette capsule I outlined a while ago. Well, with a few updates, I’ll bring these to life soon!

Me Made May - My personal challenge

Much of my wardrobe, maybe even 90%, is me-made and I’m already wearing those garments daily. So when thinking about what I wanted to pledge this May I landed on spending 15 minutes a day to focus on my “sewing resolution” this year of slowing down and doing some intential sewing. That may look like heirloom stitches, hand basting, or even smocking. I never want to be finished learning and I think this is the push I need to be more intentional. Well that’s a wrap on my time teaching at and Me-Made-May day 2. Today I taught three ways to make a bust adjustment and spent some time in the booth before meeting some so many amazing creators. What a great show!

I’m so excited to ring in Me Made May at . Everyone I’m meeting is so inspiring and my creative ideas are flowing!

NYC Day 3 - This was the warmest day of my trip and I wore my Swanton/Vernon chambray shirt mash-up under my Kimball Bomber Jacket, paired with ready-to-wear jeans and blue ballet flats. I love how the ruffles from my shirt peaked out of my jacket for an elevated look.

NYC Day 2 - I did a quick outfit change before heading to the theater and exchanged my salmon colored Carlyle Tee for a classic white Vernon Button-up. I paired my updated outfit with red espadrilles, my Kimball Bomber Jacket, and I’m excited to see a show!

NYC Day 2 - I wore my Osgood Skirt in a yellow heavyweight linen paired with my salmon colored Carlyle Tee and topped the whole outfit with my Kimball Bomber Jacket. I love the color and joy this outfit brought to a chilly spring day. And all three of these garments are made with Cashmerette Club patterns!

I did a slight hack on this version of the Osgood Skirt so the button placket was exposed and I love showcasing these wooden buttons. And how great is the square neckline of the Carlyle?!

NYC Day 1 - I wore my red embroidered Brookhaven over my long sleeved navy and white striped Cashmerette Concord Tee with the boat neck hack. I like to layer up for travel so I can be comfortable as the environment and weather changes and these Cashmerette makes fit the bill perfectly.
