If we are not paying attention, we risk falling behind. It is like using ChatGPT. If you use it regularly, you can quickly tell when someone else has used it. You start to notice the patterns. The same goes for AI tools being used to defraud. If you are familiar with how this technology works, you will spot the red flags faster. Being informed is the first step to staying ahead.

When it comes to verifying carriers, not all freight is created equal. Whether you are moving everyday goods or high-value shipments like robotics or pharmaceuticals, the level of vetting should match the sensitivity of the cargo.

Tools like facial recognition can be another layer in your toolbox to confirm the person picking up the load is exactly who they say they are. It is not just about checking boxes. It is about protecting your customers, your freight, and your reputation.

Really bummed to share that Hoyt Moore of Hoyt's Truck Center and its connected brands has sadly passed away.

Hoyt joined us back on Episode 5 of the podcast, one of our earliest guests, taking a chance on a brand new show that hadn’t yet proven itself. In doing so, he brought a wealth of trucking industry knowledge, sharp insight, and genuine generosity to the table. It was immediately clear we had only scratched the surface of what Hoyt could share. Honestly, we could’ve done 20 more episodes with him and still learned something new each time.

It’s truly unfortunate we won’t get that opportunity, but we are grateful for the time we did have. His contributions to the trucking world and the people in it will be remembered and appreciated for years to come.

We send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the entire Hoyt’s Truck Center team.
