KC Hopps, Ltd. has announced that Tanner’s, located at 11134 Holmes Rd. in the Red Bridge Shopping Center, will shut its doors on Sunday, June 28th.

“Tanner’s was not successful in negotiations to extend the lease and are thankful for all the wonderful guests and staff in the Red Bridge area.”

The new single-family homes in East Village will start at $1.2 million, according to Oddo Real Estate Development representatives at the June 15 meeting.

The decision is a victory for Oddo Real Estate, which will shift focus to building larger, more expensive homes in the East Village development.

Leawood officials have approved a 2-year deadline to develop a plan for the demolition of the old city hall, built in 1953 and shuttered in 1994.

A plan was finally put in motion to redevelop the area around 96th & Lee Boulevard during the June 15 meeting of the Leawood Governing Body.
