Major Boost for Youth Sports in Aishmuqam: ₹53.40 Lakh Play Field Tender Floated
Aishmuqam, July 18: In a significant step towards strengthening sports infrastructure in the Pahalgam Assembly Constituency, the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Division Pahalgam has floated the tender for the Development of a Play Field at Aishmuqam under the Youth Services & Sports Department.
The project, with an estimated cost of ₹53.40 lakh (₹45.25 lakh excluding GST), aims to provide a modern sports facility for the youth of Aishmuqam and surrounding areas. The proposed play field is expected to encourage cricket, football and other sporting activities while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among young people.
The tender has been issued under e-NIT No. 33 of RnB/Pahalgam/2026-27 dated 18-07-2026, with the bidding process scheduled from 18 July to 24 July 2026.
The youth and cricketers of Aishmuqam have welcomed the development and expressed their gratitude to Hon'ble MLA Pahalgam, Altaf Ahmad Wani, for pursuing the long-pending demand. They said the approval of the project reflects the MLA's commitment to improving sports infrastructure and creating better opportunities for talented youth in the constituency.
Residents believe the new play field will not only nurture local sporting talent but also provide a dedicated space for tournaments, training camps and community sports events. The project is being viewed as a landmark initiative that will benefit generations of young athletes in the Pahalgam constituency.
