Today we pray for the momma as she begins the final week of 2025. Lord, this year held so much. There were some surprises this year… some good. Some bad. Some that she hopes to forget and others she hopes to never forget.
This year she prayed. She prayed for her family. She prayed for herself. She prayed for friends and strangers. She held onto faith and fought back fear. She was misunderstood and falsely accused. She fought for her family. She did her best to trust You, Lord. She held onto hope even when it was by a thread.
She laughed. She yelled. She cried. She said she was sorry. She said she was scared. She said she couldn’t do it. And she said she wasn’t giving up.
There were times when she was tired, very tired. Still, she kept putting one foot in front of the other. She gave You the things heaviest on her heart. She asked for peace. She asked for strength. She asked “why?”… over and over. She said, “Lord, help!” “Lord, I can’t!” “Lord, please.” more times than she could count.
She fell. She got up. She trusted You with so much more than anyone will ever really understand.
This year, this momma learned that she can trust You in ways she hadn’t experienced before. She learned how close You are, Lord, and was reminded again of how much she needs You.
As the year comes to an end, and she begins this final week of 2025, we pause to thank You, Lord, for being with us. For being with her, specifically. For being a good God even when life isn’t good at all. For being a friend and a comforter and the Savior of our stories. For giving us peace and rest and hope for the days ahead.
We couldn’t have made it without You. Every victory belongs to You. And we are grateful.
Please help this momma look back and see where You stood and walked with her this year. And help her look ahead and remember that the One who leads her, loves her.
We ask in Jesus’s name, amen.
