I’m excited to announce the launch of the Hughes JUPITER 3. This satellite is targeted for launch on July 28 at 11:04 p.m.ET from Cape Canaveral, Florida, when a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket will carry our next generation Satellite into space. The rocket will place JUPITER 3 at a geostationary orbit at 95-degrees West (22,300 miles above Earth’s equator).
We encourage you to follow along on our Journey to JUPITER 3
· Visit our dedicated websites in English and Spanish once published
· Plan to watch the live broadcast of the launch the night of July 28; the link to the webcast will be available at Hughes.com/JUPITER3.
After launch, it will take time for orbit raising and in-orbit testing, and we expect to begin our Gen6 service in Q4 2023. This launch will allow us to provide service to all of North America later this year along with LEO OneWEB. Services.
