🔥 Fire Prevention Week: October 5–11, 2025 🔥

This week, we’re coming together as a community to raise awareness about the causes, hazards, and dangers of fire—and how to prevent them.

Every fire we prevent protects lives, homes, and the future of our community. Most fires can be avoided by taking simple, proactive steps:
✅ Test smoke alarms monthly and replace batteries as needed
✅ Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from anything that can burn
✅ Never leave cooking unattended
✅ Store matches and lighters out of children’s reach
✅ Create and practice a home fire escape plan with your family

Let’s all do our part to reduce fire risks and stay safe. This Fire Prevention Week, take a moment to check your home, talk with your loved ones, and share these safety tips with friends and neighbors.

🚨⚾ Tonight was one for the books! 🚓🔥

Kaufman Fire & Police took on the toughest challenge yet… an 8-year-old baseball team in a wiffle ball showdown. The kids brought the energy, the teamwork, and some seriously creative pitches.

But in the end… we’re proud to say the grown-ups pulled off the win. 🏆 (Don’t ask by how much… we’re still counting.)

Huge thanks to the team for keeping us on our toes and reminding us that the real MVPs are the ones who still get snack time after the game. 🍪🥤

We look forward to the next game, kids—when we’re not sore anymore. 😉

A water main break and gas leak are being repaired in the 1400 block of Royal Drive. Residents in the area will experience temporary water service interruption for the next few hours while crews work to restore service. For questions, contact Kaufman Public Works at 972-962-8007.

🚧 Water Outage Notification – Sunday, August 3 🚧

Contractors will be performing necessary water line repairs in the area of 7th Street and Phillips Circle beginning tomorrow, Sunday, August 3 at 12:00 PM (noon).

💧 Water service will be temporarily shut off for a few hours during this work.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to complete this repair as quickly and safely as possible.

Water is temporarily shut off in the area of S. Washington St. and S. Jackson St., from W. Seago St. to W. 4th St., due to necessary repairs.

Residents in this area may experience water service interruption over the next few hours as our crews work diligently to complete the repair and restore service.
