The Molokai Canoe Racing Association opened the regatta season at Kaunakakai Wharf last Saturday 🛶🌊 Paddlers from Wa‘akapaemua and Molokai Canoe Club raced in 25 sprints, with over 300 people cheering them on.

“This is our way of life. We are voyagers, sailors,” said 17-year-old first-time racer Akio Tanaka.

Any submissions received after the deadline will be included in the following issue on Feb. 26.
