CBS San Diego has now released surveillance footage believed to show missing little girl Daleza Fregoso alongside the suspect as this case escalates into what could become an international search.
Authorities say Daleza Fregoso remains missing after her father, Ruben Fregoso, allegedly abducted her from Los Angeles, California.
Investigators also believe Ruben Fregoso is responsible for the killing of Daleza’s mother.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the white 2019 Land Rover connected to the case was located Monday night in a parking garage at the San Ysidro Point of Entry near the U.S.-Mexico border. However, BOTH the suspect and child remain missing.
Newly released surveillance footage reportedly shows the suspect walking with Daleza through the parking structure while pulling a suitcase.
Authorities say:
• Ruben Fregoso is considered armed and dangerous
• The public should NOT approach him
• Anyone who sees them should call 9-1-1 immediately
Daleza was last officially seen around 4:00 a.m. on May 24, 2026, near Alsace Avenue and Ferndale Street in Los Angeles, California.
Daleza is described as:
• 4 years old
• Approximately 3 feet tall
• Approximately 45 pounds
• Black hair
• Brown eyes
Ruben Fregoso is described as:
• 5’9” tall
• Approximately 200 pounds
• Black hair
• Brown eyes
Authorities say AMBER Alerts are only issued in the most serious child abduction cases where there is evidence a child may be in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.

Authorities say 4-year-old Daleza Fregoso remains missing after an AMBER Alert was issued out of Los Angeles, California. Investigators now confirm that the vehicle connected to the case has been LOCATED, but Daleza and the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Ruben Fregoso, are STILL MISSING.
This update increases concern for Daleza’s safety as law enforcement continues searching across multiple counties.
According to authorities, Daleza and Ruben Fregoso were last seen on May 24, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m. near Alsace Avenue and Ferndale Street in Los Angeles, California. The AMBER Alert remains active for Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego Counties.
Daleza is described as:
• 4 years old
• Black hair
• Brown eyes
• Approximately 3’0” tall
• Approximately 45 pounds
Authorities previously believed they were traveling in a white 2019 Land Rover Discovery with California plate 9DAW715. That vehicle has now been recovered, but investigators say both the child and suspect are still unaccounted for.
