Hits 106 is on location in downtown Grand Island this afternoon for the 3rd Annual Grand Island Police Department and NRG Media Meet and Greet. We are here collecting donations and school supplies for back to school. Come on over and see all the great fun to be had with with chances to win prizes with corn hole, check out some nonprofits, food trucks, and fun with the GIPD. We will be here till 4. This is the 3rd annual Grand Island Police Department and NRG Media’s Meet and Greet and School drive. This year we will be in a new location in the parking lot that is on the corner of South Front and Locust St. This event is Saturday Aug 2nd from 2-4. The GIPD will have multiple vehicles down there to get in and look around like the MRAP & ARV, Breaching door station, Drone and K9 Demonstrations. NRG will have all 4 FM’s there doing Live remotes Sponsored by Live well Counseling, so you can meet your favorite on air personalities. As well as Corn hole with prizes to win. There will be 2 food trucks: Dawgs on the Run and Coffey’s BBQ. You can check out some of our local nonprofits as well: Central District Health Department, Grand Island Library, Be the Light, Live Well Counseling, and B.A.C.A (Bikers Against Child Abuse).
NRG is collecting school supplies for the Grand Island Public Schools; our goal is to fill the Island Jeep.
This is a family community fun event.
