Life Celebration Service: Saturday 4/26/25 11am at New Faith Church 2412 N. Walnut Dr Wharton, with same-day visitation at 10am for Willie Fisher, III.
Willie, 34, of Wharton born was Dec 31, 1990 to Kathy and Willie Fisher, Jr in Fort Sam Houston San Antonio, TX. He suddenly departed this life on Sunday April 13, 2025.
He was full of life, loved life & loved his family and he will truly be missed. Following his Life Celebration service, he will be laid to rest at Powell Point Cemetery in Kendleton, TX. Most precious memories entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home of Wharton 979.532.2715.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Verdell's family during this difficult loss. She was a beautiful person who was always willing to volunteer her time in helping others.

Vert Dell Williams Greer "Verdell" 63, a native of Kendleton, TX born Nov 2,1961 to Henry and Beatrice McCullough Williams, departed this life Jan 30, 2025.

Her visitation will be Fri Feb 7th 2-7 pm at Matthews Funeral Home. Verdell's celebratory service will be Sat Feb 8th 3pm at Newman Chapel UMC 14 Lum Rd Kendleton TX. Interment Paradise Cemetery Kendleton. Most precious memories entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home of Wharton 979-532-2715.

Has anyone else noticed how water 💦 bills keep going out later and later every month? 😕

We used to get them on the 1st, guaranteed! This month they generated our utility bills after 🌀 Beryl (June 12th to be exact). They can't blame a company for mailing out bills late when the city staff is responsible for generating the data for the bills to be produced. They should have gone out way before the hurricane hit. FYI: computers don't 🤥 lie. Just like eonline tells us that city hall only gave us 5 days to pay our bills and/or check if we're billed correctly. or

STAY WOKE Y'ALL! The due date is still effective for TODAY the 17th, penalties apply after that. because these council members DO NOT CARE about us as PEOPLE enough.

In addition, the lack of communication continues from the city. Fort Bend County is picking up hurricane debris tomorrow. I know it's late notice on my behalf, but honestly, I just saw the very poor sign hanging at the post office. I hope that everyone has an opportunity to get your trash 🗑️ picked up.

APPLYING FOR FEMA ASSISTANCE

When applying for FEMA’s Disaster Assistance, you will need:

· Phone number
· Identification documents
· Bank information
· Insurance policy number
· Address at the time of the disaster
· Address where you are staying now
· List of damage/losses

Don't let this list overwhelm you. It is rather easy to apply for the assistance.
Yes, the application is for the $750 food reimbursement and yes, you can file for assistance with damages to your home too.
