Her little Sssmile when she says her friends name ☺️She’s been working on S-blends for a long time and is becoming more consistent!At first, she learned by sliding her hand down her arm for the “Ssss” sound and then tapping her hand for the rest of the word. It worked really well to help her connect the sounds together.Now she’s starting to self correct on her own, and it makes me so proud to watch how far she’s come!

…but you know you can still always crawl in her bed for a cuddle ❤️

The girls shared a room for a while but unfortunately they kept waking each other up in the middle of the night. So we decided to move Georgi into her own room and surprise her with a brand new bed by and some new decor. I love how it turned out and Millie is just as excited as she is! I’m so happy knowing that even though they are in separate rooms, they can still bond, read, cuddle and laugh together on the most comfortable bed!

Millie’s home!!! And I’m still in shock to be honest. Since her open heart surgery on Thursday she hasn’t eaten more than a couple bites, hasn’t moved from her hospital bed, hasn’t really smiled… and mostly has cried or slept. But today during afternoon rounds her cardiologist looked at me (while Millie’s crying in my arms) and said “discharge tomorrow?” and I think he saw the relief in my face and said “or do you want to go home TODAY?!” He told me and the staff there was no medical reason for her to stay and even though she’s crying, not eating, and sleeping most of the time, it’s probably cause she hates it here and will do great at home. And here we are:)

Although Millie takes credit for being so brave and so tough, I’m also giving credit to Georgi, her older sister. She visited her last night and was the first person to get Millie to have a couple bites of food and the first person to make her smile… and now she’s the first person to get her to stand. I’m also giving credit to all of you… for praying, for thinking of us, for sending the good vibes, and for encouraging me to stay strong. Thank you thank you thank you! 🥹 my baby is home and we are all together again!
