Is 23 seasons overkill? I’d argue it depends entirely on whether you’re one of the people who needs it.

The difference between a 16-season and a 23-season system isn’t complexity for its own sake — it’s the addition of tonal palettes. And 5 of those palettes exist for one reason: to give fully neutral undertones somewhere accurate to land. Because in a 12 or 16-season system, they don’t have one.

Sure, only a small percentage of my clients fall into those neutral palettes. But I have watched someone go sallow in a neutral warm, go flat and gray in a neutral cool, and then absolutely glow the moment we found their actual palette. That’s not a small difference. That’s the entire point of doing this work accurately.

Overkill is adding complexity that doesn’t serve anyone. The tonal palettes serve someone — and for those people, having them is far from overkill. It’s everything.

The goal was never to make the system simpler. It was to make it more accurate.

Some days you look tired, dull, or older…
and nothing about your skin has actually changed.

It might be the colors you’re wearing.

I’m actually younger in some of these photos…
but I look more washed out, with more shadows and less definition.

In the photos where I’m older?
My face looks brighter, clearer, and more lifted.

No treatments.
No filters.
No “better lighting.”

Just:
• Warmer, softer colors
• Better contrast
• Makeup that works with my coloring, not against it

Most women assume it’s:
aging
fatigue
their skin

But very often, it’s simply wearing colors that fight your natural coloring instead of supporting it.
