We publish the Bright Side, filled with positive news about our community and fun family events for all to enjoy. Have an article or announcement about a wedding, anniversary, or a new baby, school, church, scouts, sports, etc etc. Feel free to share -- our deadline is THURSDAY, September 4th and we will be online, Monday September 8, 2025. The Cobb County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to vote on the final piece of funding for the Memorial Park tonight on August 26th at 7:00 pm. Your support is needed. SAT JUNE 28 BLOOD DRIVE - EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT -For his Eagle Project, Carson Pope is organizing a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on June 28th at Atco Baptist Church, 20 Parmenter Street, Cartersville, Ga 30120. In addition to that, he is also asking for canned food donations to support the food pantry at New Life Community Church in Acworth, Georgia. Carson chose this project because in March of 2024, his mother was diagnosed with stage 3 multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. She has had to have several blood and platelet transfusions that wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for blood donors. Please sign up to donate and help him spread the word.
