For those of you who might be interested, I've written a book that's a guide to help walk Producers through the entire process of producing a quality film on a limited budget.
"A Producer's Guide to Making Quality Films on a Limited Budget" is a practical, comprehensive handbook designed specifically for producers working in independent film. It covers every stage of the process—from concept development to distribution. It provides clear guidance, real-world examples, production templates, checklists, and actionable strategies that can be applied immediately.
Unlike most "producers guides", its focus is on smaller budgeted (below $500K) films where every dollar counts. Sample budgets and templates, checklists, strategies, contracts, etc. are included for various budget levels - ranging from micro-budget to moderate budget.
Drawing from the practices and lessons learned from the low/moderate budget feature films I've Produced (all of which have gotten distribution) I focused the content of the book on what actually works when resources are limited and the margin for error is small.
Whether your goal is a $25,000 micro-budget feature, a festival-bound independent film, or the foundation of a professional producing career, this guide provides the tools, frameworks, and knowledge needed to bring projects from idea to audience.
It's currently available from Amazon and soon to be from Barnes and Noble as well.
