"I really think (the publication) is so important because it's editorially independent, and that's something that we're kind of worried about because the Pentagon wants to control what comes out of the newspaper, and it just didn't really work back in World War II when General Patton tried to control the narrative. He tried to get Bill Mauldin's cartoons taken out because he thought that they were sloven, and you know, didn't reflect the Army, so getting the Pentagon back in the newspaper is not what we want."
