New bling, who dis?

The Insurgent just got a ridiculous upgrade in the rapid speed reduction category. Brand new brakes at both ends, plus I made the long overdue switch to a 203 mm rear rotor. First ride on them today was 🔥. Already PR’d a bunch of segments because you can brake soooo much later. So sick! By the time I hit Catwalk today, I was feeling really good with them. I am so thankful and proud to be a part of the and riding the best equipment available.

This summer has been riddled with injuries and I’ve missed a lot of the good weather, but I’ve got a couple short rides in this week so far, so I’m stoked. Yesterday we drove an hour to recon the Brown Mountain Trail, which is close to Klamath Lake, Mt McGloughlin, Lake of the Woods, etc. We started on what appears to be the steeper side going out, but the climb was great, the trail is beautiful and there’s lots of areas with the kind of texture that keeps things interesting. We did a short out and back, but you can make a 19 mile loop. Hopefully we can get that in before the snow comes. Old school alpine singletrack yo! 🔥

We checked the Wood River out for the first time this weekend. The smoke was better over on the Klamath side and the float was super fun.
