Daniel Irving Nyblad, 81, of Grant, Michigan, passed away on March 8, 2025. Dan was Born on May 2, 1943, in Grand Rapids,
Michigan, he was the cherished son of the late Irving and Beulah (Dolly) Nyblad. Dan lived a full and meaningful life, leaving
behind a legacy of love, hard work, and quiet generosity that touched his family and community deeply.
Dan is deeply missed by his sisters, Susan (Arvin) Heilman, Joan Dublanko and Emily (Mark) Dumais, along with his nieces and
nephews, Angela Dublanko, Erick (Kelly) Heilman, Kristine (Dave) Candela, Joseph Dumais, Trevor (Sarah) Dumais, and Kelly
(Christian) Torkelson. He loved his great-nieces and nephews, Sam, Dan, Mary, Susan, Matthew, Lucas, Rachel, Danny, and Leif,
who will carry forward the memory of their great-uncle's warmth and wisdom.
Throughout his life, Dan remained a steadfast member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church, a place that anchored his faith and
community ties. He graduated from Kent City High School and went on to study at Michigan State University, earning a degree
in Agricultural Science that would shape his lifelong career. Dan proudly served in the National Guard Army Reserve and stayed
connected to his fellow veterans through his membership in the VFW in Newaygo.
Dan was an outstanding farmer who poured his heart into Nyblad Orchards family farm. He spent his career growing apples,
cherries and peaches alongside his father, Irving, his Uncle Bill, and cousins Nels, Nick, and Peter. For the last 12 years, Dan
came out of retirement to farm with his nephew Trevor Dumais, sharing his knowledge, his respect for the land, and his love of
working together as a family.
Dan was a man of simple pleasures and deep connections. He loved fishing, spending peaceful days at his cabin in Michigan's
Upper Peninsula with friends, and escaping the cold as a snowbird at Hidden Harbor in Stuart, Florida. Known for his quiet
generosity, he supported those around him in ways both big and small, always ready to lend a hand or share what he had.
Dan's kindness, patience, and positive outlook made him a rock for his family and a beloved figure in his community. His
presence brought comfort and strength to those who knew him.
