More happy news this holiday season: Cleveland Scene Magazine names “The Coming of Fabrizze” one of “10 Cleveland Novels the Book Lover in Your Life Actually Would Like for Christmas.” We’re proud to have reissued Raymond DeCapite‘s novel at KSUP, and grateful to Vince Grzegorek for celebrating this “deft portrayal of Italian-American immigrants’ hope and hard work” in Cleveland:

Great seeing KSUP author Terry Belew (pictured here with Clara Totten, David Hassler, and Alison Hawthorne Deming) at last night’s Wick Poetry Center event in Kent!

Belew’s book “The Deep Blue of Neptune”—winner of the Stan and Tom Wick Poetry Prize—is available now. In her foreword to the volume, Deming wrote: “‘The Deep Blue of Neptune’ is a powerful and moving debut collection, a book that is clear-eyed, unsentimental, and tender in the face of the brutalities of our time. For Terry Belew, the local is the lens through which the universal struggles of our mortal condition can be seen. And to see, really see, and find the artful words for that seeing is indeed to be of use.”
