I’ve been hearing from a lot of people this year that are going through all kinds of issues loss of family, loss of friends, loss of love, health issues, financial issues. And although this is not a Christmas song, it’s a song of hope for me. I recorded it because it was one of my father‘s favorite songs. I just thought maybe it would help some people if they listen to it and realize that there is hope, that it’s not all as terrible as it looks. I am grateful that I have music that I can lean on…to inspire me and make me feel something. I want to thank my friends Buddy Hyatt, the band, including Brent Mason on guitar, amazing strings by David Diggs, mixing with Kevin Fisher, and beautiful video footage by Tommy Snider. I hope this reaches some of you that need to be inspired. It’s a Rogers and Hammerstein song from the musical “Carousel”, first introduced to be by my dad and mom way back in the day. i’m grateful to have God and friends in my life. Steven McClintock
