It’s so great to run into a fella like this at Sheri Swartz ‘s event in New Braunfels. He’s such a good young man. He “believes” with all his heart and that’s enough for me. I look forward to being his friend for a long time. I wrote a song last week with a veteran and every time I sing it right now I’m thinking of Bubba Westley. I don’t know why, but I feel it inside every time. It’s a song called. I’m grateful. And I see that in this young man. He is grateful and he knows he’s blessed. What a wonderful thing. Go check out his music. You can’t help but love it. Bubba Westly Steven McClintock Songbird Sheri Swartz
Every now and then you have one of those moments where you just have to look around and think, "Wow… this is pretty cool."
I looked up from the stage last night and there was Steven McClintock, just sitting there listening to me play songs I wrote.
If you don’t know Steven, go look him up. He’s an award winning songwriter with more than 250 writing credits, 20 million records sold, over 60 million streams, multiple gold and platinum records, #1 songs, and a catalog of songs recorded by artists like Tiffany, Garth Brooks, Hank Williams Jr., Chris LeDoux, Aaron Tippin, and plenty more.
Then after the show, he comes up and tells me he wrote down several ideas after watching us perform and that we should write soon 🤯
As a songwriter, getting to meet someone who’s written and been part of so much music that shaped this business, and then hearing him say he enjoys what you’re doing, is pretty cool!
Can't wait to get together and write my friend!
