❄️ City of Camden Closure Notice ❄️

Due to icy road conditions forecasted for tomorrow morning, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our employees and in alignment with other governmental offices throughout Kershaw County, the City of Camden will be closed tomorrow, February 2nd.

Please note the following updates:

• 🗑️ Trash pickup: Residents who normally receive Monday trash service will have their pickup this Wednesday.

• 💡 Utility customers: Utility bills can be viewed and paid online during the closure.

• 🚨 Emergencies: In case of an emergency, please contact the appropriate emergency services.

Additional updates regarding City services will be shared as needed. Please continue to monitor the City of Camden’s official communication channels.

As of now, normal City operations will resume on Tuesday, February 3rd.

Kershaw County Sheriff's Office
Sheriff Lee Boan says some roadways are drying up but others especially neighborhoods are still seeing snow and ice. He expects a refreeze tonight and gives tips if you absolutely have to drive on the roads tomorrow morning.

Snow has reached 3 inches in Camden, SC. Road conditions have worsened making driving unsafe. Kershaw County Emergency services saw an increase in accidents around the county as snow and ice have accumulated on the roads. SCDOT has been out treating major roadways. More updates coming tomorrow!

Good Morning Kershaw County residents!! We woke up to snow off exit 98… we have some pretty big snowflakes coming down as of 10 A.M. It is sticking to the grass and roads have a light dusting… I will be giving you a measurement update throughout the day.
