UNPARALLELED ALASKA VIEWS FROM MY DRIVE HOME • the fresh ocean air is incredible. The mountains rise straight out of the ocean, and even after all these years, there are still days that stop me in my tracks. Living here isn’t easy, but days like this, make you feel like it is.

Sometimes I forget that what is our nightly drive home, for us, is the kind of view people travel thousands of miles to see.

We’ve had a fantastic start to our 2026 summer and rainfall has been clearing up quickly, our liquid sunshine just likes to pop-in to remind you, you are visiting the LARGEST temperate rainforest in the country! THE TONGASS NATIONAL FOREST. When it’s not raining sideways… it’s a beautiful evening just like this. The Alaska sunshine just hits different! What was your experience in Ketchikan like?
