In all our research, some things just hit us in the feels. One of them for me was Richard Naseef. He was the owner of a grocer in the 20s. And he was part of our “Kewanee Savings Bank Failure” episode last year. So when I saw this come up on an auction site, I thought it would be a nice remembrance of an immigrant who may or may not have been taken advantage of. I mean, I’m pretty sure he was no matter what the Illinois Supreme Court says. — LeeAnn
