Happy New Year! Here's what's happening this month:

I was blessed to be asked to submit a poem for the Key West Sketches: Writers at Mile Zero Anthology. The poem I submitted is about Elizabeth Bishop entitled Where Greatness Lived and they have invited me to read it at their upcoming fundraiser LETTER SIZE winfrey poster without bleed (2).pdf. I feel honored to be published with some very famous poets here in Key West and look forward to reading with them.

Well, I just dropped off my poetry teacher Flower Conroy at the airport. She was here teaching a poetry class at The Studios of Key West for the last 3 days. I'm kinda overwhelmed because to me she is a poetry rock star! I wrote a poem in her honor in class that I'll type and post later. This pic was taken at the Key West Poetry Guild on Sunday night where I first met her 8 yrs ago.
