NAS Key West Southernmost Air Spectacular

Our hearts are heavy at NAS Key West. Our thoughts are with Rob’s family and friends. He and his team have been a staple at our past Southernmost Air Spectator’s, including this past March. You will be missed, friend. Thank you for entertaining us over the years. Rest easy. ✈️

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I am sharing that Rob Holland lost his life today, 24 April 2025, in an accident at Langley AFB, VA. The cause of the crash is not known at this time, and is under investigation by the FAA, NTSB, and DOD.

Rob was one of the most respected and inspiring aerobatic pilots in aviation history. Even with an absolutely impressive list of accomplishments, both in classical competition aerobatics and within the air show world, Rob was the most humble person with a singular goal to simply be better than he was yesterday.

We would greatly appreciate your respect to the privacy of his family and friends.

And remember…. Never ever give up on your dreams.

Air Show Seating Update

Today, the air show ticketing company will be accommodating those who had tickets yesterday for the Flight Line Club or Preferred Seating areas as well as today’s ticketed patrons.

However, no additional reserved seating tickets will be sold today at the air show or online.

For those who attended yesterday, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

We hope everyone enjoys today’s NAS Key West Southernmost Air Spectacular!

It’s a GREAT Navy day and a perfect day for an air show!!! 😁 Come out to Boca Chica Field for the NAS Key West Southernmost Air Spectacular!

Gates open at 10 a.m.
Program starts at 11:15 a.m.
Blue Angels fly at 2:30 p.m.

Admission is FREE and the weather is beautiful! We’ll see you soon!

Air Show Weather Update

Lightning strikes in the area have subsided so trolleys will begin taking people to their vehicles now. No foot traffic, the trolley is the designated mode of transportation.

Please follow instructions from our Navy Security personnel and local law enforcement officials.

They will ensure you get to your vehicles and off the installation in a safe and orderly manner.

Because of the significant weather delays, the remaining portion of today’s air show has been canceled.

We hope to see you back tomorrow to enjoy the second day of our Southernmost Air Spectacular.

Your safety and well-being is our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
