Wounded veterans and their supporters ride adaptive bicycles at the top of the Seven Mile Bridge on the Florida Keys Overseas Highway Friday, Jan. 6 near . Comedy Key West is the only comedy club in the Florida Keys. We offer professional stand-up comedy shows Thursday through Saturday, an open mic on Tuesday, and a Paint N Chug on Monday nights with other special events peppered in throughtout the week.

Fresh off his second nationwide “Rescue Me Comedy Tour” with Denis Leary, Kenny is a favorite in clubs, theaters and on the large and small screen. You may have seen him as “Kevin the Biker Fireman” on F/X’s hit show “Rescue Me” starring Denis Leary and as “Pat the Cop” on ABC’s “It’s All Relative” with Lenny Clarke. He has also made numerous other television appearances on such shows as NBC’s , “Late night with Conan O’Brien”, “The Late Show with David Letterman”, “Comics Come Home” for Comedy Central and Showtime’s “A Pair of Jokes” just to name a few. Rogerson has also appeared at The Chicago Comedy Festival and TBS’s The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.

The Boston Herald proclaimed, “He makes the absurd seem logical” and Las Vegas Magazine wrote, “As far as pure stand-up goes, it doesn’t get any better than Rogerson.” Michael Blowen of the Boston Globe raved, “He is fall down on the floor funny! This comedy special event is one that we are really looking forward to. Joining Kenny on stage will be Boston comedy staple, Tom Dustin. Tom was featured on Comedy Central & is the winner of The Sam Adams Comedy Festival as well as the $25,000 winner at The Great Canadian Laugh-off, making each show a double headliner event.

Cruise ship to dock this afternoon in Key West!

The U.S. Coast Guard has cleared the way for an emergency stop by a cruise ship this afternoon in order to save a life.
An 81-year-old man aboard the Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Sea is in critical condition with septic shock.
According the U.S. Coast Guard Capt. Adam Chamie, the decision to evacuate the man at Pier B is the only way he will have a chance of surviving.
After consulting with the City, the police, and the harbor pilots, the ship -- bound for Tampa -- will make the quick stop in Key West.
The Coast Guard’s standard procedure, said Capt. Chamie, is to first explore taking the patient directly off the ship at sea via helicopter. However, the ventilator and life-sustaining equipment keeping the man alive cannot be safely operated in the aircraft. Second choice, he said, is to take a smaller vessel alongside the ship, but four-foot waves are too unstable for the patient and the equipment. The decision was made to bring the ship in briefly for the medevac.
“These situations are always about saving an individual’s life,” he said. “We took extra care to look at all aspects, talking with all our partners to be sure it was feasible. We want to be sensitive to the community’s wishes, but at the end of the day, it’s about saving a life.”
“We understand the Coast Guard’s decision,” said City Manager Patti McLauchlin, “and we fully support this emergency if it means the difference of life and death.”
