The spring meeting of the WV Chapter of The American Chestnut
Foundation will be held:

When: Saturday, April 5
Time: 1:00 to 3:00 pm
Where: Mineral County Technical Center in Keyser, WV
(981 Harley O Staggers Drive, Keyser).

There will be a brief business meeting for board members from
12:30 to 1:00 pm. Remote access will be available, and the information to do so will be sent by email before the meeting.

Directions to the Mineral County Technical Center: The Technical
Center is between and behind the primary and middle schools
across from McDonald’s, just south of Keyser on US 220. At the
light on US 220 just south of McDonald’s, go east on Southern
drive to the back of the school, then north on Water Street. The
Technical Center is on the left and parking is available just past the entrance.

Welcome to "The Midnight Special", the enduring and beloved folk music radio program, syndicated through the WFMT Radio Network. The Midnight Special first aired in Chicago on WFMT-FM in 1953 and went national in 1971. Rich in tradition and history, the program has remained current through decades of change by retaining its topical bent while delighting listeners worldwide with gentle irreverence, touchingly candid observations, and the unveiling of new music.

The Midnight Special is replayed on Mountain Streams Radio on Friday at 10pm, Saturday at 5pm, and Wednesday at 1pm from two weeks ago.

Starting tonight is 'Honoring Historic Women' originally broadcast on March 1. Women’s voices and story songs about notable, honorable, courageous women launch Women’s History Month. And lots of new songs by women songwriters and men who “get it.”

Saturday Light Brigade, out of Pittsburgh, on Mountain Streams Radio from 6:00am until noon tomorrow, Saturday, February 22!

Coming up on 2/22: As Rikki and Larry take a well-deserved day off, we'll replay our October 25, 2014 episode of SLB this Saturday. The program included Wi******er Thurston elementary school storytellers sharing Halloween stories as well as a live performance by legendary acoustic blues guitarist Roy Book Binder. You'll also hear our usual mix of acoustic music and family fun as well as puzzles and games as featured on the original program. We'll be back live across our full network on 3/1. Note: While this special program will air across our network, SLB will be preempted altogether on WRCT on 2/22 as the station airs its annual Massive Music Weekend special featuring half-hour artist blocks from its huge music library. If you're used to tuning in at 88.3 FM, please consider trying one of our other FM affiliates and online stations.
