It’s graduation week and my heart is so full 🥹

Every year I get to photograph the most incredible seniors, and every year I am reminded just how lucky I am to do what I do. Through coaching basketball and rugby at the high school, I get a front row seat to some of the most amazing humans walking this earth, and watching them cross that stage? There are no words.

The Class of 2026 is going to do extraordinary things. I can feel it. Congratulations, seniors. The world is yours. 🌎

When it comes to my photography, it’s impossible to stick to just one type, especially where I live.

One day it’s people, the next it’s food, then families, couples, events, and everything in between. Every setting looks different and feels different, and that’s what keeps it interesting.

For that reason, I wouldn’t change a thing about what I do or how I do it. It’s a little all over the place, but in the best way, and it’s the only way that works for me.

April and May are such a funky time up here.

During this change of seasons, everything slows down for a bit. It’s that ramp before summer, but it’s also when it starts to feel the most...local: A little more quiet, a little more homey.

It's like the calm before everything picks up again.

Today is my birthday, which already makes it a pretty good day.

But it’s also the day I officially started Mountain Cat Media back in 2019, which feels kind of wild to think about.

What started as an idea has turned into something I genuinely love doing, and I’m really grateful for all the people and moments that have been part of it along the way.

This year I’ll be celebrating with a head spa, dinner with my family, and trying not to open my laptop. Feels like a solid way to do it, if you ask me. 😊

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring, which means I’m about to be outside with my camera even more than usual. 📸💐

The weather gets warmer, the light gets better, the colors get more vivid, and everything just feels more fun to shoot. It’s one of my favorite times of year for photos.

This is what sisterhood looks like to me. Showing up together, laughing a lot, and moving forward as a group. No competition, no perfection, just support and shared momentum.

The holidays may be over, but winter isn’t done telling stories yet. This time of year feels calmer, with fewer expectations and more space to notice what’s already there.

It’s also the season that reminds me why visuals matter so much. Not to impress, but to tell the story as it is. The glow of lights against snow-covered branches, the way everything slows down, and the small details that don’t ask for attention to be felt. This is the part of winter I love most. ❄️
