I stopped settling the moment I started healing.
------------------
Healing raises standards.
When I learned what I deserved, settling stopped being an option.

Nothing changes until I choose myself.
------------------
Life shifts the moment I choose me.
My peace.
My worth.
My needs.
Choosing myself is the beginning of every breakthrough.

We need to talk about this…….

I know that this has been a platform for all the things, But I always remained true to myself and the topic of mental health.

I do NOT like taking gym pictures. It’s one reason why i don’t share them.
But, today, my trainer noticed changes and said “stay there and hold these, I am taking a picture so that you can see the progress” 😬
I have been with her for almost 3 years. Each time we train, I feel like I have a new found sense of purpose.
When i asked her for help, I was at one of the lowest points in my life but knew I needed to take control of at least one thing …. My health.
So here i am. 93 lbs lighter. I feel stronger both mentally and physically.
I don’t often see what she sees but am so glad that she took these pictures.
I didn’t have a New Year’s resolution. I just knew that I needed to keep going and now I am so glad that I did.
I am so grateful for her and me.
Thank you Regina 💙

These Stories Need to Be Heard

In this episode of A Wild Ride Called Life, I sit down with Allison Burton—author, advocate, and speaker who is courageously bringing attention to the realities many don’t see or talk about.

This conversation goes beyond surface-level storytelling.

It dives into the lived experiences of military families, especially the invisible weight carried by spouses—the emotional, mental, and systemic challenges that often go unspoken.

Because behind the uniform…
there’s a family navigating transitions, sacrifices, and identities that are constantly shifting.

And too often, those stories stay quiet.

But not here.

This podcast was created to hold space for the raw, unfiltered conversations—the ones that remind you that your voice matters, your story matters, and that you are not alone in what you’re navigating.

Allison’s voice is one that challenges silence, creates awareness, and opens the door for conversations that need to happen.

Confidence That Comes From Within

In this episode of A Wild Ride Called Life, Annette Whittenberger speaks with Joe Yurick about a profound shift that came with sobriety — discovering confidence that no longer depends on anything external.

Joe shared that when he got his confidence back, it stayed — because it wasn’t rooted in alcohol, validation, or performance. It came from within. For the first time, his sense of self didn’t rely on a substance to feel capable or worthy.

Joe described it simply but powerfully: he beat the version of himself that once held him back. And because of that internal victory, he now shows up fully — able to speak in front of thousands without fear, without masking, and without pretending.

What makes this moment so impactful isn’t bravado — it’s clarity. Sobriety stripped away everything that wasn’t truly him, allowing Joe to present himself to the world with authenticity, peace, and joy.

I’m not afraid of being misunderstood. I’m afraid of being untrue to myself.
--------------------
Being true to myself matters more than being understood by others.
If I have to choose, I choose authenticity — every time.
