Well, we didn't expect this. Thank you Vickie!

The beach is back Killington Resort- getting your legs wrecked on Superstar laps and taking in the sun. Ray couldn't take advantage of that sadly (next year) though our friends and daughter got their laps in and it was a ton of fun watching.

Also it was great to see our friends Kelly, Rob,and others there. By mid-day - there were still at it. I know we would have been there with them all day on the hill, skiing to 5 if things were different for us.

Thank you The Mountain Times - We think this makes 4 times we have been in your wonderful paper. Ski you soon, this weekend we are up again.

Today marks 19 years since our oldest son passed away. Sort of insane for us to think. Not a day goes by that we don't think about him, if things were different, what he and we would all be doing together. Being a parent to us is arguably the most precious thing - nothing will change that. We love and miss you Rocky. Every day.

Yesterday we learned that Pico Mountain will have to decommission the Outpost chair, which is very saddening to us and to many that know of this area. The Outpost Chair is one of New England's oldest ski lifts and offers some of the best skiing at Pico. A real piece of history will be missed.

As many of you know, for more than a decade now we have called Pico Mountain our home. Our kids grew up here and the families we have made friends with over the years all know how special The Outpost is and the historic importance of its chair. We recall when our kids were small, getting them onto the chair was something we had to hold our breaths for. As the chair whipped around, picking up your 4 or 5 year old kid, to get them seated, wasn't for the faint of heart. The kids of course were thrilled - as it was just another ride to some awesome expert terrain. Those that know, know. When the snow is awesome - you first go to the Outpost.

With this sad news there is always a new beginning. It may be rocky at the start of this new change, though knowing the commitment of the Pico and Killington Resort management, they will more than likely make sure to install a lift system that will keep the character of this precious area. Who knows, maybe a sixpack. :) Just kidding.

Now 7 years ago, Our Outpost short edit is now is a part of that history - Glad we made this short edit and filming with friends we love. It is only fitting that we share it now, to preserve the memory and to inspire others to visit Pico and root for the Outpost's new beginning.

Thank you Pico for this thoughtful message. We can hear it in your voice, that you too share this sadness, though with sadness can bring great new beginnings. Sometimes changes is wanted, though change is necessary.

This day 2016 - Pico Mountain closed. It was a VERY rough season for the East - liken to what the West is facing today. Mountains did close, many never re-opened - some now have again; thankfully. So glad we recorded this short edits - its like a time capsule we didn't expect for us and many of our friends.

To that, we are Always Hopeful for what next season may bring. For Ray and many of our friends, we hope with snow, there is health and remission.

Happy 17th Birthday to our sweet Nevada! 🎉🎂❄️⛷️

Not the birthday you were supposed to have this year, but we are happy you got to ski with your friends and get an extended winter break with a Real snow day.

From our first family summit run at Bolton Valley, where daddy and I took turns skiing with you down the mountain, to you skiing down the mountain on your own.

And now this past Birthday Weekend, skinning to the Pico Summit with friends for the first time. Wishing you many more fun adventures!

We Love you so much!! Happy Birthday Girl!!

To better days ahead. 🎗 keep us sin your thoughts. In the meantime, our daughter and son will enjoy the power at shortly with my twin . I have to say seeing this snow makes me feel better and to fight to go skiing.

To our many friends,

I wanted to reach out and ask for your continued positive thoughts and prayers for my better half — my love, my light, Ray.

Some of you may already know, others may not, but Ray has been in the hospital since last Saturday.

Over winter break, we were doing what we love most — skiing in Vermont, waiting for more snow, laughter, and ringing in the New Year with good friends. Then on Friday, January 2nd, unexpectedly things rapidly changed and on Sunday, we were in the ER in VT, with what they thought was something as benign as sciatica, started affecting his heart and kidneys.

Once back in the city a series of doctor visits, tests, and rising concern as things began to move far too quickly.

Last Saturday morning, after Ray nearly passed out at home, he was brought to the ER, and

Today, we received the diagnosis: Multiple Myeloma.

Multiple myeloma is a rare blood cancer that begins in the bone marrow and can affect the kidneys and other organs. It’s not the news anyone is ever prepared to hear. There are only about 4,000 people in the tri-state area living with this diagnosis — and we wish, truly, that this had been a different kind of lottery win.

But anyone who knows Ray knows this: he shows up fully, he fights fiercely, and he leads with heart.

Tomorrow, he begins aggressive treatment. It will be a long road, with hard days ahead — but we are not walking it alone.

Love will carry us through this.

It was another cold one yesterday to start off 2026, but we still managed to summit & did almost everything open from the top- KA (bullet proof - see video), Summit Glades a 1st for me this season & Sunset 71. We closed down the mountain w/ the Wolf Moon up high over Deer's Leap.
