The Second Annual Speaking Our Minds Open Mic Night at 6:00 p.m. tonight. This year’s theme is “The Book that Influenced Me Most and Why”
The Rappahannock River Yacht Club (RRYC) is hosting the “Halloween Spooktacular” boat parade tonight. The parade will follow much the same format as the previous holiday boat parades. Beginning shortly after sundown which is 6:25PM, the parade will take place on the waters of Carters Creek beginning near Custom Yacht Service and proceeding up the creek past the Tides Inn.
This is a Northern Neck-wide community event. Not limited to RRYC members, the public is invited and welcome to participate in the parade and to come watch the parade from RRYC club docks.
The Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula Toys for Tots Program is hosting a co-ed softball at Dream Fields Saturday.
Northumberland Lions will conduct free vision and hearing screenings at the Heathsville Farmers Market Saturday 9-1.
The Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts presents The Magic of Michael Grandinetti at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater Saturday night. Tickets at the door are $50 but you can get them online for $45 at rappahannockfoundation.org.
Macedonia Baptist Church is celebrating their 145th church anniversary at 11:00am Sunday.
Witness General George Washington’s Revolutionary War encampment come to life at Stratford Hall on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm! This is one-day only and features historic interpreters in costume and handsewn, full-scale reproductions of Washington’s sleeping and office marquee, dining marquee, baggage tent, camp bed, furniture, and more that were part of his mobile headquarters while on campaign.
