With colder temperatures moving in tonight and through the weekend, we’re encouraging residents to stay ahead of potential freeze‑ups by reviewing the recent email sent out regarding running your water.

If you did not receive an email or a door hanger, that means your property is currently above the 40‑degree threshold and you are not on the list for a water‑run credit at this time.

Staying informed helps prevent frozen lines and keeps everything flowing smoothly for everyone in the community. Thank you for taking a moment to double‑check your inbox and help us stay prepared as the temperatures drop.

Reach out to City Hall if there are any questions regarding this!

Dear EVW Community,

Over the past week, a growing number of students and staff at EVW have been absent due to sickness and the trend has been getting worse. It has been reported that most of the sickness includes Strep and Influenza A which are both very contagious. The number of missing staff has been very difficult to cover and find substitutes.

We would like to be proactive with the long weekend approaching to give an extra day of no students at school for a reset. EVW would have an E-Learning Day on Friday, 1-16 with students staying home and staff reporting to school to present E-Learning materials and provide assistance throughout the day as in a regular E-Learning Day.

Activities would be run as regularly scheduled on Friday, 1-16.

This would allow a 4 day break for students to prevent spreading of sicknesses. Hopefully this would complete a proactive reset for our students and staff and promote a healthier school.

Thank you for the support of our EVW School students and staff!

Respectfully,

Joel Baumgarten
EVW Superintendent
