I went to Shutterfest this year with no big plans — just to learn, be inspired, and soak up time with all my favorite people. But let’s be honest… I always end up doing a shoot with my gorgeous friend Cynthia Rivas Aguirre.
Get ready, because you’re going to see a lot of her —
🤩 but this might be my favorite shot of all!

Believe it or not, we found this random larger puddle in a dark corner and knew we had to make something happen.
This is exactly why photographers at Shutterfest are up so late —
when inspiration strikes, we roll with it!

This past week, I went exactly where my heart and soul needed to be — Shutterfest.
Not just to learn new skills or level up my business (although, trust me, I’m coming back with so many exciting ideas!) — but to refill my cup, reignite my creativity, and reconnect with the kind of passion that first made me fall in love with photography.

Thanks to my two amazing friends, Carolina Waldroff and Kim Brady, who (literally) dragged me out the door, I was reminded that investing in myself isn’t just good for business… it’s essential for the soul.

At Shutterfest, you don’t just grow as a photographer — you grow as a person.
You meet the kind of people who turn into lifelong friends.
You get inspired in ways you can’t even put into words.
And you walk away with a heart that’s somehow bigger, lighter, and more on fire than when you arrived.

Thank you Sal Cincotta and Alissa Cincotta for creating something that is truly unlike any other.
Your heart and leadership have built a place where magic happens.

I’m home now — my heart full, my creativity bursting — and I can’t wait to keep creating, dreaming, and growing with all of you.
