I’m delighted to finally share the video I filmed for Little Bird Made Artisan Markets over summer!
This project was a fantastic opportunity to further hone my filmmaking skills, from the initial concept story boarding to capturing footage and editing the final product 🎬 Experimenting with Adobe Premiere Pro to add animations and refine audio was a valuable learning process 🎶 Finally, collaborating with a variety of vendors gave me the chance to delve into storytelling, sharing their experiences, and furthered my insight into the importance of supporting local independents🌟

If you’re looking to elevate your brand with engaging video content, I’d love to collaborate and help bring your vision to life ✨Feel free to reach out if you’re interested!

I’m delighted to have finally received my certificate for completing the ‘Applied Skills for a Sustainable Media Industry’ course by BAFTA Albert! 🎉🌱

It’s been an eye-opening experience learning how to integrate sustainability into the media industry and understanding the impact of production practices on our planet. During the course, I completed a Carbon Report using the Carbon Calculator for a group multi-camera production at University, implementing a Carbon Action Plan and Green Memo to minimise our impact and encourage awareness amongst the crew and cast. I furthered this experience through production of my individual TV show, Eat with the Earth, integrating planet placement strategies. I’m excited to continue applying these skills in the real world to help shape a more sustainable future for media. Huge thanks to BAFTA Albert for providing such valuable insights and resources!

I’ve had the incredible opportunity to spend the last few days gaining work experience with Air TV, the talented team responsible for producing dramatic, exciting programmes such as Yorkshire Air 999 and the much-loved Bangers & Cash. It’s been a truly fascinating experience, allowing me to get an in-depth look behind the scenes in the production office!

Throughout my time there, I’ve gained invaluable insight into the complexities of television production, from the nuances of compliance to the importance of confidentiality and intellectual property laws, especially when filming included private medical information. I’ve also had the chance to learn more about the critical relationships between production companies and distributors, vital to bringing programmes to their viewers.

A huge thank you to everyone at Air TV for being so welcoming and incredibly insightful, especially Alize Akturk & Lydia Geronikolos for guiding me through! I’ve learned so much in such a short space of time.
It’s experiences like this that truly help shape a career in the industry, and I’m grateful for the opportunity!

Over the past couple of months I have been working away on my university tv show, Eat with the Earth, a vibrant sunday morning programme centred on sustainable and seasonal farming, cooking, and eating. Think Saturday Kitchen with a seasonal focus 🍏

I had the pleasure of filming at Food Circle CIC in York, a community farmers market dedicated to offering only seasonal and sustainably sourced produce from local growers 🌳 This location provided the perfect backdrop for a VT featured in our first episode segment titled ‘Getting Local’.

Hosted by the fantastic Ben Middleton and joined by sustainability expert and chef George Agostini, this first episode was a joy to produce and direct and I hope it inspires viewers to think more critically about their food choices to support the future of our planet 🌍

The show was a great opportunity for me to combine my learning over the Studio Production module including: researching, script-writing, sourcing contributors, ensuring ethics compliance, filming a captivating VT, designing and hand-making the set (with no budget!), and directing the show on the day (with only 45 minutes to brief my crew, rehearse and record!) 🎬
Making Eat with the Earth has been a wonderful challenge and I’m beyond grateful for the support of all involved including my art assistants & emotional rocks Emily McBain & Grace Reade and my talented cast and crew for bringing the vision to life! Fingers crossed for bringing this to the telly one day… 🍃

FIVE & DINE 🎬

A budget-friendly cooking show for students🎬 Each week we explore the price of ‘student staples’ at a different supermarket by inviting a guest to complete a £5 shopping challenge, this week was Lidl ! The guest then cooks one of their favourite £5 meals live on the show! Our guest thjs week joined our host to make a big batch of vegetarian egg-fried rice! 🍳

🎨 I had a great time working as the Set & Props Stylist and the Floor Manager for this show, helping to bring the directors vision to life.
♻️With a core focus on sustainable practices, I sourced all props and set from local or second-hand sources, such as through Facebook Marketplace, in addition to hand-making set pieces that could be re-used/ recycled after the show. I also worked with the producer and our module leader to reduce unnecessary printing, submitting our production documents digitally.
📣 As the floor manager, I completed the risk assessment for the studio floor and briefed all cast & crew on health & safety, especially for the live cooking demo. I conveyed information from the director to studio crew and talent concisely to ensure smooth rehearsals and recording, maintaining a quiet & calm set.

A SUPER FUN SHOW WITH A SUPER CREW💫

Reverend & The Makers - Late Night Phone Call / In support of the amazing 🤍

I recently worked as a runner for this wonderful christmas music video, filmed in Sheffield. I assisted the fabulous stylist with dressing the locations: the pub, bedroom, living room and street to create this warm, magical, Christmas feel. Although it felt a little early to be getting the christmas decks up 🎄with proactive problem solving and quick decision making, we worked effectively as a team to ensure the set was ready on time and continuity ensued🌟 I assisted the production team with catering for the cast and crew, ensuring food safety and hygiene with serious allergies and dietary requirements among us. And finally I ran around to fulfil my job title and help out whenever I could😁

It was an absolute pleasure to work on such a wholesome and magical shoot with the best people✨ Thank you to every single person there for making it so special, you’re all FABULOUS💫

hostess with the mostess???
Yesterday I had a great time in the studio practicing my PA skills for one group show and hosting for the other! I took some valuable lessons away from the session including the importance of planning timings, understanding good in and out points for VTs to keep pace and excitement, and researching for interviews. Thanks to .scienska for being a fabulous guest ✨💫🌟
