Green turtles are no longer considered endangered 🫶🏼🐢

This is a small amount of good news and gives me some hope for other species that are endangered and slowly going extinct. Seeing turtles in the ocean are one my favorite things to spot!!

I would absolutely go back. Some of these prices will vary depending on how you like to travel. You could spend more or less tbh. I went a few years ago but prices havnt changed too much.

Is the blue lagoon worth it?

I think it was :) (but only cause we went early when not many people were present lol)

Our entry tickets were about $111 and we got the 7am entrance time because it was cheaper and there would be less people. But that did mean we were tired 🤣

Your ticket included a mud mask, a drink and access to the lagoon for as long as you want! There’s also steam saunas within the lagoon and it’s quite large!

You either want to go your first day or your last as it’s located really close to the airport. We chose to go last after all the traveling.

If you were to go mid day though… I would say it might not be worth it as it would be soooo crowded.

All in all a cool experience nonetheless!

If I did say that… here’s what your itinerary would be:⬇️⬇️

You’d split your trip in half;
About 6 days down south and 6 days up north to get a taste of each!

👉🏼Day 1- fly into Oslo.

👉🏼Day 2-5 fly to stay in Stavenger
-rest and take a scenic drive to hike Kjeragbolten loop

👉🏼Day 5-7 drive to stay in Odda (beautiful mountain town)
-shop, hit saunas and hot tubs and hike Troltunga

👉🏼Day 7- drive back to Stavenger and fly to Lofoten

👉🏼Day 7-11 explore Lofoten
-eat at bakeries, hit seaside saunas, hike and embrace the rainy weather.

👉🏼Day 12- fly home

Norway is a HUGE county and getting around it requires lots of driving and some hopper flights but it’s so worth it. One of the most vast and beautiful countries I’ve ever seen 🫶🏼🏔️

One of the best experiences from the whole Iceland trip was the Katla Ice Cave tour morning!

This is the only ice cave that’s available to see all year, however the later in the summer you arrive the shorter it will be.

We had sunshine and got to see 1 beautiful longer ice cave (although much shorter than we were anticipating LOL) and two smaller ones. It was still really stunning to see the details of the ice and drink from a melting glacier!

But the scenery on the drive over and all around us with the sun out was just absolutely magical. We stopped for photos with the rainbow out and even saw a baby arctic fox.

It felt like another planet! Highly recommend this tour on your trip to Iceland as it was a highlight for us ❄️🧊🏔️

Time moves slower under water…

I’ve been diving with sharks 3 times and there was something so magical about this time. I got to dive deeper and longer than before, the visibility was incredible and the ocean was calm.

Truly one of the most peaceful and magical experiences I’ve ever had underwater.

The reality is that it rains and is gloomy ALOT more than social media makes it seem… even in the summer haha

I was in Lofoten for 5 days and there wasn’t a single day of sunshine unfortunately 🥲 we had a few short pockets of sun 1 or 2 days and got lucky with an incredible rainbow on the only hike I did but other than that…. It was rain, gloom and wind hahah.

BUT that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the area and make the most of it! This was how we spent my 29th birthday and honestly it was still one of my best ones 🫶🏼☺️⛰️🌧️🌈

🥾HIKE INFO-
this was the Festvägtinden and
Presten (Torsketunga) trail!
It’s extremely steep and the Presten section (the view with the rainbow) is quite dangerous, especially in rainy and windy conditions. So be weary of that part and only go here if you’re experienced.

🛢️SAUNA INFO-
This cute barrel sauna is a at the Lofoten apartments! It’s near the hike we did and you can rent a spot online for 2 hours for $30. Totally worth it and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves. We tried a few saunas as well during all the cold and rainy days!

🧁BAKERY INFO-
Honestly I’d try any near you :) we have tried quite a few being here and they are all so different!

The views and beaches will be all over the Lofoten area :) stop when you can and soak in all the views 🫶🏼🚗
