Thank you to the San Diego International Film Awards for selecting Breathe for Best Short Screenplay. Set on Mars, I wrote this dark comedy during the pandemic because I wanted to get out to the desert to shoot a film.

Originally from Richmond, Virginia, and an alumnus of Hampton University, Jamison is an American screenwriter, director, and editor. He is currently a staff writer on the CW series Superman & Lois (2021-present) as part of the Arrowverse television franchise. For his film Tri (2016), partially shot in Luray, Arlington, and Fairfax, Jamison won the Festival Prize for Best Feature Dramedy at Atlantic City Cinefest, Best Story Line for Indie Spirit at the Boston International Film Festival, and the Jury Prize for Best Family Feature and Best Inspirational Film at the Northern Virginia International Film and Music Festival. Jamison was also a production assistant in the Steven Spielberg biographical historical drama film Lincoln (2012) and a Visual Effects Assistant in AMC’s American period drama television series Turn: Washington’s Spies (2014-2017).
