Audrey’s smiling—-Another song now has all its parts recorded! Phil laid down some lead guitar and signature Phil’s fills with his Strat, and then played some tasty slide parts on his lap steel. Word is her cd will be completed before the end of the year, one more song to record!!!

Going back to a few days in early August 2019; at that time High Rye had only professionally recorded one cd, a few singles, a ton of band practices, and a mix/master of a group of songs friends recorded at a campfire.

I convinced my longtime friend Kale Baldock to travel from Kansas City to PA to start recording his original song demos. We tracked 115 songs over the 5 days he was here. We even managed to squeeze in a trip to the Martin Factory in Nazareth.

Over the past several years, we’ve had 4 additional sessions recording at his home in KC (as High Rye Mobile Studio!) He’s up to around 170 demos; not sure if, or when, or how many, will ever be released, but it is a passion project that provides an opportunity for old friends to gather, tell stories, and make some noise!
