Now longtime staff members Robbie Stoddard and Omar Qaisi are carrying that legacy forward as owners. ✨

Robbie grew up in Kirkland and has spent nearly three decades at The Game. Omar brings years of culinary experience and 13 years of working alongside Robbie. 🤝

Together, they are preserving favorites like The Bill Burger while creating new reasons to gather. 💫

Meet Maggie, the Polar White Labrador who knows how to turn every day into an adventure! 🐾

Whether she’s swimming, hiking, camping, or diving for sunken tennis balls, Mags is always ready for fun. And when it comes to sticks, bigger is definitely better. 💦

Her family says branches at least five feet long can even bring out her famous “Beaver Mode.” 😄

But her best quality might be the joy she brings home. As her family shares, “Absolute happiness greets us when we return home.” 🐶

From Laos to Kirkland, Jill Berge’s story is shaped by culture, identity, change, and a deep belief that every student’s story matters. 🌏

After a childhood spanning Southeast Asia and Washington, Mrs. Berge brought those experiences into more than three decades of teaching in the Lake Washington School District. 📚

“I love hearing about what matters to each student, what parts of their background they find meaningful and valuable, and I think sharing all those stories enriches all of us.” 🫶

As she begins a new chapter in educational leadership, her impact continues through the students and community she served. 💚

A Kirkland favorite has entered a new chapter. 🍔

Longtime team members Robbie Stoddard and Omar Qaisi are now the owners of The Game Neighborhood Grill & Bar, carrying forward a local legacy while adding their own touch with flatbreads, expanded happy hour offerings, and curated feature cocktails. 🍷

Their vision is a “modern day Cheers,” where regulars, families, and new faces all feel at home. As Robbie says, “We want to see the stories continue.” ❤️

Small garden, lasting impact. 🌸

Girl Scouts Malia Chan, Charlotte Peterson, and Geneva Tappen of Troop 42103 transformed two unused garden beds at Environmental Adventure School into a pollinator friendly habitat for bees, butterflies, moths, and hummingbirds. 🐝

Created for their Girl Scout Silver Award, the garden features primarily native plants blooming through spring, summer, and fall, plus educational signs explaining why pollinators matter. 🦋

What grows when neighbors invest in neighbors? 🤔

The Kirkland Community Foundation believes our city is stronger when people show up for one another. 🤝

Through Ignite Kirkland, more than 100 donors helped provide nearly $103,000 to participating projects in 2026. 💚

Over the last two years, the campaign has provided more than $187,000 to local nonprofits and community projects. 💰

As Executive Director Carmin Dalziel shared, “More donors are getting involved, more partnerships are forming, and more resources are reaching the organizations that strengthen our community every day.” ✨
