Truman Media Network Truman State University's student-run media network. Update: follow The Index at https://www.faceboo

Since 2013, the Truman Media Network has been a converged entity encompassing five outlets. Our weekly newspaper, the Index, publishes news, opinions, lifestyle content, and sports every Thursday during the school year. Similarly, TMN Television, our TV news station, broadcasts every Thursday at 5:30 pm on the on-campus channel 36. Our radio station, KTRM, broadcasts talk shows, live Truman sports

games, and alternative music 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Detours Magazine, a travel magazine highlighting interesting destinations in the tri-state area of Missouri, Iowa and Illinois, publishes online biannually. And lastly, TMN Digital houses all this content and more in one area, the TMN website.

DPS was really outgrowing their space in general services, so giving them more space [in Barnett] made sense.”

The Index’s Newest Editor-in-Chief covered the story in the latest issue.

The chair of the department of social sciences and human inquiry Kathryn Brammall will be retiring at the end of this semester and instructor of history Stephanie Russell is resigning from Truman State University. This leaves the university without any female professors in the History program going into next year. Students and the departing professors spoke about what that means for the history program and how this happened in the first place.
