I want to make it absolutely CLEAR that I do NOT begrudge anyone coming to the US to fill jobs that employers are unable to fill.
My ISSUE is bringing immigrants here, plopping them down in random towns (mostly in swing and red states) WITHOUT proper preparation, without adequate translators, and giving them additional resources that our own people can't get. The result of those additional resources is employers pay immigrants lower wages. (the very definition of plantation politics that Obama talked about in his book Dreams of my Father) Yes, I have the book, I read the book.
NEWSFLASH: Haitians DO eat cats. I'm NOT being mean. CAT to them is like Thanksgiving turkey to us. IT IS THEIR CULTURE! They do NOT eat dog. Fido is safe. How can anyone, especially our government, expect any immigrant to come in here without proper accommodations and EXPECT that their culture will not follow? They don't just their culture off at the border! (China and some other Asian countries do eat dog. IT'S THEIR CULTURE!)
I do NOT criticize the CULTURE of anyone other than terrorists obviously. People ARE who they are raised to be... BUT, when they bring immigrants here for jobs, and in the case of Springfield, Ohio, when MOST of those jobs fold; when the funding for housing vouchers dries up, when assistance funds dry up, they are ABANDONED and left to fend for themselves in a place that is NOT able to accommodate them.
Someone, anyone, tell me how is THAT humane?
To me, it’s a horrific disservice to the immigrants, to our black communities, and our LEGAL immigrants.
This is how the Democrats roll. They NEED divisiveness. They don’t want different cultures to integrate because they are better off when America is divided into tidy little minority groups. Smaller groups are easier to control and manipulate, and the empty promises are much easier to sell.
HERE'S A FREE COMPUTER LESSON: How to find FACTS from a time BEFORE Democrats and Big Tech began censoring what we see.
Use the DuckDuckGo search engine, not Google. Do your searches there. When you enter what you want to search, there is an option at the top for "TOOLS." Click that. Set the date parameters to some random date in 2001 to maybe 2010. Click enter and see what happens. Another fun place is called WayBackMachine. It's where all things Internet goes to live FOREVER!
I didn't spend a ton of time searching because I just don't have that kind of time but have fun! Enjoy uncovering the real truth.
Here's some of what I found:
On March 10, 2011, Huffington Post had an article titled "What is Voodoo? Making Sense of Animal Sacrifice, the Undead and Possession" written by Haitian
In Voodoo, food is an offering ceremoniously given to the Lwa (Spirits) and is usually shared afterward as a communal meal. In a meat-eating society, animals are food. In small-scale cultures, people slaughter animals at home rather than buying meat at the grocery store. Animal sacrifice is not about a morbid fascination with death of an animal; it is the offering of life-giving energy in the preparation of sacred food.
In Haiti, death is an unremarkable aspect of existence; slaughtering an animal is as neutral and necessary as putting a can of soup in a grocery cart. To some Voodoo communities, animal sacrifice is natural and integral to their tradition. They take animal life with reverence, cook the meat and eat it.
A woman living in Haiti at MyHeartHaiti blog, on Oct. 20, 2009, wrote:
So, when a cat dies in the U.S., we usually dug a hole, buried it, and more often than not, performed a small ceremony for the cat.
Here in Haiti though, it's a little bit different... Today one of our cats died from eating a chicken bone sadly enough. At first, I thought we were just going to put it in the bag that our neighbor gave to us, and then bury it somewhere. However, I soon realized I shouldn't have assumed such a thing...our neighbor was going to eat our cat for his meal tonight. Cats are a delicacy for Haitians, especially on Christmas.
This one is VERY interesting, on April 4, 2010, What Haitians Want from Americans (and what they don't) It seems Haitians loathe progressives. They feel that Clinton destroyed their country and they don't want humanitarian food, they want seeds, tools and a means of building their own country back.
Voodoo is an official religion of Haiti. According to The HARVARD website (YES, Harvard), on Feb. 19, 2010, "To this day, by various scholarly estimates, 50 percent to 95 percent of Haitians practice at least elements of voodoo, often in conjunction with Catholicism."
