Time flies when you do something you love. I’m so thankful for the people I’ve met, the friendships I’ve made, and the experiences I’ve had over the past year here in East TN.

Thank you all for welcoming me and supporting me along the way! I can’t wait to see what kind of weather this next year has to offer 😁

Weekend Wrap 6/23/2026

1. One man has been shot and killed in a shooting in Granger County. The TBI is investigating Billy Nicely has been identified as the victim

2. Saturday night a two year-old was found alone in pigeon Forge pigeon police officers were able to contact the family of the missing two year-old

3. A woman North Knox County suffered a devastating fire that destroyed her home, but her family and friends have rallied around her

4. A ceiling collapsed in Knoxville home. Two people were trapped underneath the sheet rock and installation. One was injured.

5. The family of the missing man, Christopher Neely, launched a search party on a Sunday. They say they still haven’t given up. Hope that he’s out there and then he will come home.

JUST ANNOUNCED: An investigation by special agent fire investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a Cumberland County man in connection to a fire that occurred in August.

Three dead following pedestrian-involved crash on North Broadway near Cecil Avenue

Three people died Monday morning following a pedestrian-involved crash on North Broadway at Cecil Avenue.

At 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, Knoxville Police Department officers and Knoxville Fire Department personnel responded to a crash near the First Creek Greenway on North Broadway.

The preliminary investigation determined that a single vehicle was traveling northbound on North Broadway when, for reasons that remain under investigation, it struck a light pole and then two pedestrians on the east bank sidewalk of First Creek Greenway. The vehicle veered off the west bank of First Creek and rolled down the embankment several times.

The two pedestrians and the driver died at the scene.

The crash is being investigated by KPD crash reconstruction personnel. That investigation remains ongoing.

Crews are on the scene of a serious crash on North Broadway at Cecil Avenue. North Broadway from Cecil Avenue to Grainger Avenue will closed until further notice, please avoid the area.

Knoxville Police are currently on scene of a standoff along East Caldwell Avenue. KPD crisis negotiators are at the home where they say a man barricaded himself inside. Police believe he is armed with a knife. Police have shut down surrounding roads and are asking people to avoid the area.

POLICE STAND OFF ALERT ‼️‼️

Knoxville Police are currently on scene of a standoff along East Caldwell Avenue. KPD crisis negotiators are at the home where they say a man barricaded himself inside. Police believe he is armed with a knife. . Police have shut down surrounding roads and are asking people to avoid the area. WVLT has crews on scene.

SHOCKING PHOTOS‼️‼️

Knoxville Fire Department crews responded to a tactical rescue on Chestnut Street Sunday after a sheetrock ceiling and insulation collapsed inside a home.

KFD says the call came in just after 12 p.m. as a reported roof collapse, but crews found it was not the roof. Two people were briefly trapped but evacuated quickly.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. KFD says eight other residents began cleanup and will be able to stay in the home. Crews cleared the scene in under an hour and were back in service by 12:50 p.m.

Today we remember Ranger Joseph David “Joe” Kolodski—13 years with the National Park Service, a husband, a dad of three, and someone who spent his career protecting others. He was taken from his family and this world far too soon on June 21, 1998, after responding to a call about an armed threat.
