Fall is a good time to check your heating system.

Before the first really cold week hits, there are a few simple things homeowners can check

• Replace or inspect your air filter
• Make sure supply and return vents aren’t blocked
• Check that your thermostat is working properly
• Pay attention to unusual noises, smells, or short cycling
• Make sure your outdoor equipment and surrounding area are clear

Small issues are usually easier to deal with before you’re without heat on a freezing night.

Take care of the system before it becomes an emergency.

The Semester Is Over!

I learned a lot throughout Hydronics class, especially when it came to boiler systems and how they operate as a whole. Every day I picked up new knowledge and tried to apply it the best I could, whether it was troubleshooting, understanding system components, or learning how everything works together efficiently. The class really helped me build confidence and a stronger understanding of the heating side of HVAC. Overall, it was honestly one of the best classes I’ve taken so far because it pushed me to learn, stay hands-on, and improve every day. I’m always looking to keep growing my experience and continue applying what I learn out in the field.
