This picture right here is so much of me and at the same time nothing at all. My uncle passed away this past week. This is the same uncle that bought me my horse as a teenager and God knows I could have spent my time doing worse things than cleaning horse stalls, riding mountain horse trails, and working to pay the hay bill! 😅 He taught me so much…but God taught me more through this family I was born into than anything. This is the middle four of my mom’s siblings, my mom is the youngest and wasn’t even born here. My uncle is the boy in the middle. ❤️ My grandparents were VERY poor, my grandfather was a backwoods preacher, bus driver, and farmer with nothing but land to his name to raise food for his family, who eventually numbered 8 kids and his wife of the home. They were committed to each other no matter the circumstances, even though there was tale they fought quite a bit! 😂 They could have chose not to have so many kids and guess what, I wouldn’t exist, nor my sister, not my children or neice. A whole slew of people I love so much wouldn’t exist…this is so hard to fathom….because God made it so. My grandfather ALWAYS aligned our family with Gods will for our family….this is EVIDENT 3 generations in as I saw my cousin preside over my uncles funeral, in a church he pastored for 30 years, this week! 🥺 I want to ALWAYS align my life and my family’s lives with what His will is for us, even if it looks crazy or counterculture to what we know now. Because friends I’m here to tell you, I’ve seen it. Amen! 🙌😭 He keeps His promises and generations from now will be brought to the Kingdom of God because of YOUR obedience. Happy Friday friends! Live obediently is all I have to offer today. 😘❤️
PS. This photo reminds me of all my babies stair stepped and barefoot on the farm. The BEST life we could ever have! 🥺💕🙌😭
