A new cyber scam uses legitimate-looking ads for fake AI tools to lure unsuspecting users into downloading malware.
According to cybersecurity firm Morphisec, they uncovered attackers promoting fake AI video generation tools on Facebook, maximizing the allure of “AI tools” to trick users into downloading malicious software. In particular, “Dream Machine AI” and “CapCut AI” were some of the names caught in the scheme.
