Norris City Council member Will Grinder resigns
Grinder, who was first elected to the council in 2020 and was re-elected in 2022 and 2024, told The Courier News on Tuesday that he submitted his resignation last Saturday (Oct. 18) in an email to city administrators.
“I’ve had enough,” he said.
Assistant City Manager Bailey Whited acknowledged that Grinder had submitted his resignation, which he said would become official when the City Council votes to accept it.
Once that happens, the remaining four council members will have the responsibility of appointing a replacement to serve until the end of Grinder’s current term, which ends in early December 2026 when the next council is sworn in.
Grinder, a building contractor, said he has no plans to move out of Norris, where he has lived since 2018
