2 Peter 3:9 (New International Version)
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Why Hasn’t Jesus Returned Yet?
We often speak with expectancy about Jesus coming soon. And yet, we must remember His words: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” He also said that when the gospel is preached to all nations, then the end will come.
So, the question we must ask ourselves as the body of believers is this: What are we doing to fulfill that mission?
Instead of working as one, we’ve splintered into countless factions, dividing over doctrine, tradition, and personal preference. Imagine the strength, the impact, the light we could shine if we set aside our differences and came together with one voice—proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.
He hasn’t delayed out of indifference. He’s patient because He desires all to be saved. Let’s not waste that mercy. Let’s rise, united, and go.

It’s fascinating how the spiritual landscape reflects both ancient traditions and modern shifts. The unaffiliated group—those who identify as atheist, agnostic, or “nothing in particular”—has grown significantly, especially in urban and secular societies.
